Outside Activities Being a part of and giving back to the community is important to Mr. Krueger. In his spare time, Scott has the good fortune to coach in the Buchholz High School's Girls basketball program. Going into his eighth year as the Junior Varsity head coach, Scott Krueger teams were district, county and city champions five times each, and they have won more than three quarters of their games (even though they are often zoned to play bigger Jacksonville schools).Even when he was just out of college in the 1980's, Scott was still Coach Krueger, coaching little league baseball teams from mainly single family parents in the northern Virginia area. It always has been, and always will be, about community.For years Scott coached young children through the city of Gainesville and at the Girls Club. These teams often won championships or were runners up. Coach K has also coached traveling boy's select basketball through the Gainesville Stampede, often being ranked in Florida's top ten.One of Coach K's favorite teams, however, was a city team of 9-10 year olds that had a winning percentage of slightly over 50%, but over achieved in almost every way possible. Much shorter than most of the other teams, those kids worked hard, never quit, and took pride in competing against every team they faced; those kids were (and always will be) a true team of champions.

Basketball is Scott Krueger's fun time, and he loves the competitive and intellectual challenge of the game. Most importantly, however, Coach Krueger applies his legal skills to teach his players the value (and fun) of hard work, the benefits of planning and attention to detail, and foremost, the ability of the players to be able to make good, sound judgments on the spot, whether it is on, or off, the court. Hopefully, all of these players will be future leaders in some way, and the experience of participating in basketball will make them better people.

Who is Scott Krueger

Born in New Jersey, Scott Krueger grew up in North Miami Beach, and graduated from high school in 1976. After graduating with honors from the University of Florida School of Accounting, Scott worked as a Certified Public Accountant for the accounting firm of KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick & Mitchell), serving the firm as a C.P.A. and financial auditor in their Washington, D.C. office.Scott Krueger then returned to Gainesville, earned his law degree, and married his college sweetheart.KPMG then again hired Scott in their Washington, D.C. tax department, where he primarily served KPMG's corporate and banking practice.Since 1989, when he and his family permanently relocated to Gainesville, Scott Krueger has represented and helped individuals and businesses with their tax, business, and estate planning needs. For more than 20 years, Scott has served a variety of clients, from accountants, physicians, engineers, attorneys, entrepreneurs, and professors, to small to medium sized local businesses in the Gainesville, Ocala and north Florida areas.
